TK Detailing: Comprehensive Client Policy Statement & Service Terms
Welcome to TK Detailing, Didsbury, Alberta's premier provider of professional ceramic coating, paint correction, and auto detailing services. This document outlines our commitment to quality, client responsibilities, and the specific terms of our services.
I. Gift Card Policy (Paid vs. Promotional)
Paid Gift Cards: Any gift card purchased for a specific monetary value for TK Detailing services does not expire and is valid until the full balance is redeemed. If an expiration date is printed on the card, it applies only to complimentary/promotional cards and should be disregarded by the card purchaser/recipient.
Promotional Gift Cards/Vouchers: Any gift card, certificate, or voucher provided by TK Detailing free of charge (e.g., as a prize or donation) is considered a promotional item and will expire on the date printed on the card.
Redemption: Gift cards may be used toward any service, but cannot be redeemed for cash.
II. Interior Detailing Service Policy & Upcharges
Standard interior detailing quotes are based on an estimated six (6) hours of work.
Time Overages: If an interior detail requires additional time beyond the initial 6-hour quote due to extreme condition, an hourly rate may be added to the final invoice. While we try our best to contact clients beforehand, the adjustment may sometimes be made without prior client notification.
Mandatory Odor Removal: If the vehicle has a severely foul odor that creates an unsafe working environment, specialized odor removal is mandatory for the service to proceed. This specialized treatment adds one (1) hour of labor and will result in a $50 charge (covering chemical and labor costs).
Heavy Pet Hair Removal: If heavy pet hair cannot be properly removed during the standard cleaning process (common in Didsbury and Carstairs vehicles), we will contact the client. This will result in a mandatory $50 upcharge for the additional time and specialized tools required.
Headliner Cleaning: We perform basic spot-cleaning of the headliner. If a client desires a full, deep headliner cleaning, this will require an upcharge and must be discussed and approved prior to starting the service.
III. Customer Satisfaction Guarantee (7-Day Policy)
We guarantee the quality of our auto detailing service.
Satisfaction Period: If you notice any area was missed, improperly cleaned, or if you are not fully satisfied with the results of your professional detailing service, you must notify TK Detailing within seven (7) calendar days of service completion.
Resolution: We will promptly schedule a time to remedy the deficiency at no additional charge.
IV. Damage and Liability Statement (Paint Correction and Detailing)
We take utmost care with every vehicle. Clients must acknowledge and agree to the following limitations:
Pre-Existing Damage: We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, flaking, or peeling caused by prior paintwork or unstable clear coats.
Limitation of Liability: In the rare event that damage is demonstrably caused by the TK Detailing team during the paid service (e.g., paint burn from polishing, accidental interior cut), our liability is limited to the full price paid by the client for the specific detailing service rendered.
Client Remedy: The client's remedy is a full refund of the service fee paid to the Company. The client remains responsible for the cost of any subsequent repairs or third-party costs.
V. 2-Year Ceramic Coating Limited Warranty
This warranty covers the failure of the ceramic coating to bead or sheet water under normal use for two years.
Mandatory Maintenance: This warranty is strictly conditional upon the client purchasing and completing the Ceramic Maintenance Detailing package at least once per month (or bi-weekly) from TK Detailing.
Warranty Voidance: The warranty is VOID if the client fails to adhere to the mandatory maintenance schedule or uses non-ceramic-safe cleaning chemicals or abrasive washes.
Our Guarantee: If the coating fails or fades before the 2-year term and all maintenance requirements have been met, we will reapply the coating to the affected area(s) at no charge.
VI. Test Spot Policy (Free Paint Correction Consultation)
Free Consultation: TK Detailing offers a free, no-obligation test spot for clients interested in our paint correction services (1-Step or 2-Step Polish) to demonstrate results before purchase.
Scheduling: The free test spot must be scheduled in advance with a Company representative.
VII. Booking and Rescheduling Policy
Commitment Fee (Discretionary Deposit): The Company reserves the right to require a non-refundable commitment fee of $50 to secure any service booking. This fee will be credited toward the final cost of the service.
Rescheduling Window: Clients who have paid the commitment fee are permitted to reschedule their appointment. However, the service must be rebooked and completed within three (3) months of the original booking date.
Fee Forfeiture: If the Client fails to reschedule and complete the service within the three-month window, or if the Client cancels the appointment entirely, the initial commitment fee will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
VIII. Photography and Marketing Consent
Photo Documentation: TK Detailing documents all services by taking before and after photographs of every vehicle. These photos are used internally for quality assurance and marketing purposes.
Social Media Marketing: By contracting our service, the client grants TK Detailing consent to use these images on social media platforms and the tkdetailing.ca website for marketing purposes.
License Plates (Canada): We do not blur license plates in our marketing images. In Canada, license plate numbers cannot be used to gain personal information about the vehicle owner, meaning your privacy is protected.
Client Request: If a client specifically does not want their vehicle images used for online marketing, they must inform TK Detailing prior to the start of the service.
Photo Sharing: Clients may request copies of the before-and-after photos for their personal use (e.g., selling the vehicle).
IX. Mobile Detailing and Weather Policy (Didsbury, Olds, Carstairs)
Client Requirements (Power & Water): For the mobile detailing service to be completed to TK Detailing's full standard, the client must provide access to both electrical power and a water source at the service location.
Service Limitations (If Requirements Not Met): If power and/or water are not available, the Company cannot complete the job to full standard, and certain tasks will be omitted (e.g., thorough wheel cleaning). The price will remain the same.
Service Area (No Fee): Mobile detailing service is offered free of charge within the primary service area of Didsbury, Olds, and Carstairs, provided weather conditions are suitable.
Extended Service Area (Upcharge): For any location further than Didsbury, Olds, or Carstairs (distances measured in kilometers), a travel fee (upcharge) will apply. This fee will be quoted to the client prior to booking confirmation.
Weather Contingency: If a mobile detail must be cancelled or rescheduled due to unsuitable weather (snow, rain, extreme cold in Alberta), we will rebook the service at the earliest opportunity without penalty.
